Sittin' on the back porch - annemarie mize
(Chorus)
Sittin' on the back porch
starin' at the sunset
lookin' at this burst of light
a giant red fireball flaming
through the night
Sittin' on the back porch
starin' at the sunset
wishin' I could touch this light
A giant heart of someone's love
flaming through the night
As I walk around throught this life
Wishin that someone cared
Looking at this sea of faces
Made of hard cold stone
No one wants to show any feeling
No one seems to care
going home to an empty house
My family's not there
(Chorus)
Sittin' on the back porch
starin' at the sunset
lookin' at this burst of light
a giant red fireball flaming
through the night
Sittin' on the back porch
starin' at the sunset
wishin' I could touch this light
A giant heart of someone's love
flaming through the night
Looking at all the couples
having picnics at the park
wishing I could be just like them
having a life bursting
with these vibrant colors of love
having aura's of red and gold
(Chorus)
Sittin' on the back porch
starin' at the sunset
lookin' at this burst of light
a giant red fireball flaming
through the night
Sittin' on the back porch
starin' at the sunset
wishin' I could touch this light
A giant heart of someone's love
flaming through the night
I wish I could
I wish I would
I wish It was possible
to be one
with this setting
sun
Of passionate
unending
forever lasting
Kind and caring
Special Love

There is one thing i haven't yet understood anne. What it this 'real love' this special love? Is it feeling so concerned and sympathetic towards somebody, like the way we feel for little babies? Or is it just that emotional urge that one feels when you see someone you like so much, someone you like to be with? I kind of think that there is everything in the world other than love, it is not real, it is just a concept that we get hold of through there novels, poems and movies. If we get some attention, is that love? If we get some case, is that love? Do our parents take case of us out of love or a sense of responsibility? Is it really love that we are talking about or just the little emotional support we require to survive?
Looks like there are guys who are like that. I remember what a friend of mine told me sometime back. She was with her boyfriend. That day was a very bad day for her as she had a cold. She kept sneezing. And looks like as he sneezed, unexpectedly, a blob of yuk from her nose fell on the guys right arm. And d guy did not flinch or anything it seems and just took a tissue and wiped the blob and they continued as if nothing happened. She thought she had it and he will in away and never come back. He didn't and now they are married. Is that what you expect when you say real love? If so, there are only a very few guys and girls who can give that..
but, do you really compose music? what kind of music do you prefer?
i don' think anne, there was ever, and there shall never be, an 'always i love you' kind of man or woman. we always fall out of love. fall in love. mess up. hate. care. don't care. or what ever.
do you know, what albert einstien [hope that spelling is right, i always mess up his name]said about marriage?
' me marry women with the hope that they will never change. women marry men with the hope that they will change. but in the due course of time both are proved wrong" [or he said something to the same effect]
